Anemia is a condition marked by a lack of healthy red blood cells or hemoglobin, resulting in reduced oxygen transport throughout the body. It commonly causes symptoms like fatigue, weakness, pale skin, and shortness of breath. While anemia can make you feel physically drained, it does not involve blood pressure levels directly. It’s usually caused by nutritional deficiencies (like iron or B12), chronic diseases, or blood loss. Confusing anemia with hypertension could lead to misinterpretation of symptoms or inappropriate treatments. Anemia affects oxygen delivery; hypertension affects pressure on artery walls. Both are important to monitor, but they affect the body in very different ways.
